I am in eb3 row, have a job waiting for me in the usa, but i am in england,
Have a PD of june 06, am terrified that my job offer will be withdrawn if i dont make some progress soon. Have had job offer for 1 year this week.
My soliciter has written to nvc to try and shed some light. but im not expecting much joy.
But from the posts, i have read in this thread, do i detect a glimmer of hope for my situation.?
Could EB3 row become current soon.??
It is just so unjust that i have to wait the length of time that i have, its not so bad if you are already out there, and just changing your status, but for some one in my position trying to perminently relocate, job waiting for them, no family, just me, clean as a whisle and not able to do anything because you are stuck in the same que as everyone else is just a nightmare. I have had my life on hold for a little under 2 years for this. And im only 24.
Im starting to wonder just how much longer i can wait. Life has to go on you know. Im loosing some of the best years of my life to stand in a fucking que, for something that may never happen. It is almost enough to make you think about becoming and illegal.

Here are the few main reasons for retrogression to India and China etc are
1) When H1B quota is 65, 000 the GC visa number is 140, 000 . But when they increased H1B from 65,000 to 195,000 the did not incresed GC visa numbers.
2) There is no country quota in H1B ( other than Chile and one more country for 7,000) visas. So most of the H1b's are issued to few countries like India,China and Philippines. But when we come to GC visa there is country quota.
3) We all know about that ilegal immigrants used some GC numbers which are meant for EB people.
We need to educate the USCIS why and how we are suffering in getting GC.
there is no need and use of blaming Desi companies. I do not support any illegal activities like sale of Labour certifications .

Selling of approved labour ( which has old PD ) is also same thing.

This data is ambiguous from the USCIS. It very well could represent pending 140 petitions, in which case all the euphoria would turn to shock. We must try to get clarification about this before anything else.
One of the tables there mentions the NIW, that is determined at the 140 level, after that a 485 is a 485 and it goes into the EB2 queue. So when they list that in the breakdown, I suspect if they may be referring to 140s here. Additionally they list either no NIW140 or NIW-based 485s from the NSC. If they are referring to NIW based 485s, this is incorrect, since I am one of those with an approved NIW and pending 485 at the NSC. There are others like me on IV physician forum.
So lets try to get more information about this response. This data does not give the whole story. In a worst case scenario it is indeed pending 140s they have given.
The best strategy is to prepare a request that will get all the details and route it through different senators.
Multiple members from different geographical area should route the same request through their senators.

In this day and age the news travel fast and if we expose wrong people it will help everybody. My friend told me that his brother in law wanted to come to US to earn his flying licence. He wanted to go to this one school in California. My friend left three messages with the school last year buy luckily no one returned his call so his brother in law joined a school in GA. What IV has done is commendable and unprecedented. I also think that most of us here do not know anything about the expenses incurred by IV team or money collected by IV team. It would be a good idea to be transparent in that aspect so that members can have a better understanding of the functioning of the organization and contribute appropriately. Just a suggestion; what do you guys think?

I think canadian IT jobs will accept US IT experience. However, getting a job there is harder because the industry is small but then again you don't have to be in IT. You are free to start a business there. I know ppl who have come from India to canada and have started insurance business etc. Like moving to any other place, its going to be a fresh-start if you choose to go to canada/Aus/India/etc.
One of my friends who is in Canada for a few years now tells me that the Canadian companies do recognize US experience. Another friend recently finished his MBA from the US ( after he went through the whole MS, job at a top company, GC process where labor got rejected after 4 years nonsense). He moved to Canada with a job offer, so it is much easier for him. Just don't go there and think you will find something. Make sure you have a job offer and only then go there.

I think this is great idea EB3_NEPA. We need to work on this!!! A good interim solution. That way we can actually show the contribution that we can make to the society as a family. Does anyone have an idea where we can start?
How about sending letters to our representatives and then contacting the media on the plight of our spouses rather than on us!!! May be the human rights folks can help us on this.
